Non-geared unit trust – critical action by 30 June

From 1 July 2013 a new law will apply to non-geared unit trusts which could give rise to significant accounting costs. The new legislation requires any further units acquired in a non-geared unit trust must be acquired at market value with that value determined by a qualified independent valuer.
