They recommend the big things: measure the success of your marketing campaigns by tracking sales and keep your finger on the pulse by scheduling customer surveys. But they also point to some smaller ideas: mail a postcard to your prospects, answer the phone differently, send customers a second offer as soon as they have purchased. They encourage businesses to use online shopping facilities and consider marketing in conjunction with complementary businesses.
