It’s All About the People
In response to a letter to the Editor, the Sydney Morning Herald’s small business expert reminds us that in small business (well any business) how you interact with staff and customers will determine your success. Treat your staff fairly and they will have a positive attitude to your business, the good culture that results will affect your customers’ experience. Offering low pay and inflexible work hours to save a few pennies is likely to draw the wrong people to your business, potentially costing you far more than the pennies you saved cutting benefits.
